Motorola Defy vs LG Optimus One P500

Motorola once again came up with a good looking pocket friendly phone named as Defy with excellent features and specifications. With such great competition already prevailing in the market LG was in no way prepared to take the backstage and launched its amazing Optimus One P500 model. Both the phones supporting Android operating system are full touch smart phones and have already hit the market in 2010. Having extraordinary facilities and screen adaptability, both the phones are ruling the market with full supporting reviews.
Motorola Defy
After the huge success of the Milestone series, Motorola came up with its new phone Defy supporting extraordinary features. This phone is supposed to be the first water and dust resistant phone in its segment supporting an Android operating system with a dimension of 107x59x13.4 mm and weighing 118 gm.
Moreover it has a scratch resistant Gorilla glass display measuring 3.7 inches with a high resolution of 480 x 854 pixels which is really good news for rough users.
TFT Capacitive touchscreen
The screen is a full TFT capacitive touch-screen with extended features like touch-sensitive controls, MOTOBLUR UI with Live Widgets, multi-touch input methods, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and proximity sensor for auto turn-off. This phone comes with Android v2.1 (Eclair) and can be upgraded to v2.2 (Froyo) with an 800 MHz Cortex A8 processor and an internal memory of 2 GB extendable upto 32 GB. It also hosts a 5 MP camera with features like LED Flash, autofocus, Geo-tagging, image stabilization and a VGA video recording with a resolution of 30fps.
LG Optimus One P500
On the other hand LG Optimus One P500 is also a well featured phone with its look giving it a boost. Also an Android supported phone, Optimus One P500 scores over Defy with v2.2 (Froyo) platform upgradable to v2.3 (Gingerbread) with an 600 MHz ARM 11 processor and 170 MB internal memory extendable upto 32 GB. This phone is slightly long than Defy with a dimension of 113.5x59x13.3 mm weighing 129 gm. It has a same TFT capacitive touch-screen display but with less resolution and features as compared to its counterpart Defy. Moreover it has a camera of 3.12 MP with face and smile detection and beauty shot as some extra added features. Both the phones have some common facilities like network support of GSM and HSDPA with GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth and USB for better connectivity.
Regarding reviews, both the phones have good scores from users around the world. Motorola Defy has a better look with four function buttons below the screen enhancing the look. But then it costs a lot more than Optimus P500 with a market price of around 412 dollars and LG providing its device costing around 300 dollars. So it completely depends upon the users whether they want water and dust resistant phone or a phone with upgraded ANDROID platform. But both these phones have the capability to outdo the other with such extreme performance and looks.
